No pics. I barely had time to grab my binoculars and memorize some identifiers. It was cool though. And yesterday the horned lizard and some blue-tailed whiptails. Quite a place here - still have a bird I can't identify yet and it turns out that we have cardinals ! though I haven't seen any yet.
...and I forgot to mention - the javelinas ate all my prickly pear fruit. I'm having stacked-rock raised beds built in the back and I'm gonna have to fence them in to keep all the critters out (birds, rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels...).
I'm not sure which I'm more envious of, the cardinals or the prickly pears. Although we get bald eagles. Did you see the pic of the horned owl? Tip: look at the hardware store for coyote piss. No lie. Keeps animals out of your beds.

Hey. I saw my first northern goshawk yesterday - in the back yard.
EPIC! Did you get pics?

I did see the pic of the horned owl - reminded me of the Sierras.
I'll try repellents if I have to. There's one multi-critter repellent that I've always wanted to try. It's called "Not Tonight Deer".
